Bolero Remixed
Saturday 3rd July, 3pm & 6.30pm
Stratford Multi-Storey Car Park, Stratford E15
Presented in association with East London Dance and Newham Welcomes the World
Ravel’s “Bolero”, one of the most famous pieces of classical music ever written, provides the inspiration for this contemporary fusion of DJ remixed live orchestral music and mass choreography presented on the roof of a multi-storey car park.
Celebrating the new DLR Stratford International extension later this summer, this spectacular event places an exhilarating fusion of dance and music at the heart of a fast changing part of East London. With a bird’s eye view of the London 2012 Olympic Park, the scene is set for a thrilling performance, choreographed by Jeanefer Jean Charles with 100 local dancers from Eastlea Community School, Star Primary School, New VIc, University of East London and C-12 Dance Theatre. Featuring the New London Orchestra conducted by Ronald Corp and DJ Excalibah, “Bolero Remixed” invites you to experience the creativity and excitement of Stratford’s dynamic regeneration in action!
