Choreographer, Mass Movement Director & Creative Consultant

Stadium & large scale events include: Artistic Director of the Rugby League World Cup Opening Ceremony 2013, Mass Movement Co-ordinator on all four London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies, Movement Director for Derry UK City of Culture and the Opening Ceremony for the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Choreography credits include: The Queens Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace, Big Dance Trafalgar Square with over 800 dancers, Bolero Remixed with 70 dancers and a 50 piece orchestra and a carnival extravaganza on the Great Wall of China in Beijing as part of the Cultural Olympiad.

Jeanefer works with Arts Organisations to design and develop bespoke movement projects. She works closely with clients to build the appropriate creative teams – giving them knowledge and skills needed to run a project successfully.

Credits include: Merseyside Dance Initiative Big Dance in Liverpool, LeftCoast Arts and Cultural programme in Blackpool and most recently consulted with the Minister of Sports and Culture in Doha, Qatar.

Jeanefer co-ran her own Jazz Dance company for 10 years touring nationally and internationally, and is now the Creative Producer of Tomorrow’s Men – a project using dance as a tool to help young men re-engage in their education.

  • The Award Winning, Return of Colmcille

    Jeanefer was once again working with creative events company Walk The Plank. This time in Derry on The Return of Colmcille.
  • Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace

    Jeanefer was invited in the summer of 2013 to choreograph a piece with over 100 dancers as a part of the Coronation Concert in Buckingham Palace; a Big Dance commission produced by East London Dance.
  • Rugby League World Cup Opening Ceremony

    Jeanefer has just recently worked as Artistic Director for this year’s Rugby League World Cup 2013 Opening Ceremony. The anticipated ceremony took place at the Millennium Stadium on October 26th 2013.
  • Mass Bolero and now Live Bolero

    Choreographer for the film Mass Bolero. After the world premiere at Nottingham Playhouse and broadcast on the new Notts TV Channel, the film “Mass Bolero” is now online with over 42,000 views since its launch.
