Latest News – Manchester Day 2015
“Huge crowds made this year’s event, on Sunday 14 June, crowding the street to enjoy the fantastic floats, amazing costumes, musicians and more than 90 local community groups weave their way down Deansgate and perform across multiple city square locations…… highlights included a show-stopping mass-dance section involving over 100 local dancers and choreographed by Jeanefer Jean Charles”
As part of the event’s Elevate programme funded by Arts Council England in partnership with Walk the Plank and Dance Manchester, Jeanefer worked with local choreographers and over 100 participants to create the Parade’s centre point – an unforgettable dance spectacular featuring Manchester residents of all ages from over 80 groups.
