Jeanefer choreographed the Big Dance; an event Led by the Mayor of London office, in partnership with Arts Council England and BBC1. An attempt to break a world record, ‘the largest number of dance styles being performed at the same time to one piece of music’ was successfully broken and was broadcast live from Trafalgar Square by BBC1.
Present work includes Rosa Moments a State of Emergency platform for 4 black female choreographers – now touring the UK until May 2007, click here for tour dates. Jeanefer has performed, choreographed and co-produced Jazz Umbrella, Rhythm Circus and Barefeet and Crazy Legs for her company Bullies Ballerinas Jazz Productions (1990-2000) with national and international tours to countries including Italy, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Namibia, Mozambique and South Africa.
Choreography credits include, choreography for Parent Trap - Walt Disney, Pinchy Kobi & Rent Money - The Posse, A Raisin in the Sun - the Young Vic, Theatre Royal Stratford, Jack and the Beanstalk - Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, A Spell of Cold Weather and Joshua’s Egg, Theatre Centre, Idol Pop, Quicksilver Theatre Co. the British Ski Ballet Team, Olympic Game and Theatre Centre’s Journey to the River Sea at the Unicorn Theatre, London and a national tour.

Jeanefer has strong ongoing educational links with residencies and special projects for WAC Performing Arts and Media College, East London Dance and the National and International Ice Skating Associations. Past teaching projects include Die Tanzetage International Summer School- Frankfurt, Germany, Royal Academy of Music- London, guest jazz teacher for Middlesex University and Royal Ballet School. Southern Africa project for the British Council in Windhoek and Cape Town and Artistic Director for the Camden Dance Festival at the Place. As a mentor, Jeanefer has worked on cultural Shift, East London Dance’s platform for disabled choreographers.
